Wednesday (5/28) Growler Fills & Bike Ride

Howdy Friends, We will happily fill some or all of your May beer share tomorrow. Just as a reminder, growler fills/pickups will occur every Wednesday evening from 6-8 and Saturday morning from 10-12. We will also offer a downtown pickup two Saturdays each month after 1:00. For those who have not been to the brewery, we are located at 18 Hunt Road in Belfast (red 2-story building with a garage door). There is limited space in the driveway, so feel free to park on the road.

Drop-in: Feel free to stop in from 6:00-8:00 to have your growlers filled and chat with the brew crew.

Beer Descriptions:

Cowbell is for all you farmers out there. A Saison by style, we Americans tend to call them Farmhouse Ales. This is a pale, refreshing, highly attenuated, moderately-bitter Belgian Ale with a very dry finish. Our version offers a pleasantly aromatic mix of fruity-spicy notes from both the yeast and hops. Originating in the french speaking part of Belgium, specifically Belgian farmhouses where they were brewed for farm workers. 100% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine farmers.

Juicebox IPA: You like ’em hazy and juicy??? Well here you go Hop Lovers…This one’s for you. Our one and only New England Style IPA that is low on hop bitterness but high on the flavors and aromas of all things citrus. We use 3 pounds of 3 different hops, added 3 different ways.
Named for a beloved member of the FBB family who is otherwise known as “The Juicebox Guy”. 97% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine Farmers.

Prost! Altbieris a well-balanced, well-attenuated, bitter yet malty, clean, and smooth, amber to deep copper colored German Ale that is the traditional style from Dusseldorf. This beer offers a rich malt character reflective of traditional German base malts, with nutty-toasty bread crust notes, with low hop aroma. “Alt” refers to the old style of brewing (top-fermenting ales) that was common before bottom-fermenting lagers became popular.

94% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine farmers.

Postcards from Helles: Is a clean, malty, gold-colored German lager with a smooth grainy-sweet flavor and soft, dry finish. Created in Munich in 1894 to compete with the Pilsner-type beers. Named after The Wood Brothers song by similar title. 98% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine Farmers.

Wednesday bike rides are back!!! In collaboration with the Belfast chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA), join us for an “old school” mountain bike ride (8 miles) that starts and ends at the brewery and rolls over blueberry hills and snowmobile trails on the upper west side of Belfast. All riders are welcome. If you are feeling like biking isn’t your thing, join a crew on a run to the top of the blueberry hill (2.9 miles round trip). Ride/run departs the brewery at 5:30. Bring something for the grill for the post-ride/run “grill and chill”.

Cheers!
