Beer Descriptions:
Juicebox IPA: Here you go Hop Lovers…This one’s for you. A New England Style IPA by style, this beer is low on hop bitterness but high on the flavors and aromas of all things citrus. We use 3 pounds of 3 different hops, added 3 different ways. Named for a beloved member of the FBB family who is otherwise known as “The Juicebox Guy”. 97% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine Farmers.
Dog Island Dunkel: This is the first of two beers this year influenced by our trip to the Bavarian Region of Germany last October. Of the 130 beers we sampled, Dunkel was the most common style across the region. A Munich Dunkel by style, this rich and malty dark beer offers bready-toasty flavors with hints of chocolate. Bonus points for those who know were Dog Island Corner is in Belfast. 90% of the grain in this beer comes from Maine farmers.
More Cowbell: This one is for all the farmers out there (and those of us who pretend). This is a Saison by style, although we Americans tend to call them Farmhouse Ales. This is a pale, refreshing, highly attenuated, moderately-bitter Belgian Ale with a very dry finish. Our version offers a pleasantly aromatic mix of fruity-spicy notes from both the yeast and hops. Originating in the french speaking part of Belgium, specifically Belgian farmhouses where they were brewed for farm workers. 100% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine farmers.
Catbird Seat Cream Ale:
An Ale version of the American Lager, with way more character. This style was originally created in the 1800’s and survived prohibition. This pale straw colored beer has
medium to low malt notes with a sweet corn-like aroma. The light hop aroma offers floral, spicy or herbal notes. It’s often referred to it as a “lawnmower beer”, we just think it’s super easy to drink and delicious. 95% of the grain used in this beer comes from Maine Farmers.
Cheers!
